For the second article of Performa Magazine's ongoing Behind the Scenes series, they take a closer look at Australian Pavilion artist Agatha Gothe-Snape's process and materials for her performance Rhetorical Chorus (LW).
Inspired by a chance encounter with legendary American conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner, Rhetorical Chorus (LW) investigates the ways the physical body transmits information, focusing particularly on hand gestures and how they convey meaning. Among her materials is an animated PowerPoint presentation featuring a collage of Lawrence Weiner's hands.
