Eleonora Fabião (b. 1968, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a performer and performance theorist whose street actions investigate the poetics and politics of precariousness and encounters.
She has performed her works internationally, in public sites across Brazil, Peru, Colombia, U.S., and Germany. Fabião was awarded the 2014 Rumos Itaú Cultural Grant to develop the Mundane Project, a series of performances and a bilingual book. In 2011, she received the Arts in the Streets’ Award from the Brazilian National Foundation of the Arts. She holds a PhD in Performance Studies from New York University, and is currently Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
